Faculty Liaison

The Faculty Liaison for Electronic Library Services is available to the university community, especially UGA faculty, staff and graduate students to share current information about licensed electronic resources and how to exploit them in research, instruction and service.

Individual meetings by appointment in campus offices focus on the desktop databases and full-text options most relevant to one's research and teaching.

Training in the integration of bibliography manager software such as Endnote, ProCite and Reference Manager with electronic resources is provided in one-to-one or group seminars. Customization and ease of use with research databases licensed by the UGA Libraries and GALILEO is a primary goal.

Additional services include but are not limited to:

  • Strategies for locating citations to one's (or someone else's) publications
  • Efficiencies in desktop management of research database access, e-mail streamlining
  • Identification of publishing opportunities
  • Referrals to specific librarians/library services
