Research & Resources

The Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library provides online services to patrons world-wide. Following is a list of resources and services we provide online:

  • Image Services: photo reproduction, photocopies, and digital imaging
  • Permission to Publish & Copyright Issues: Researchers can review our copyright policies and also download Application to Publish forms.
  • Classes: Introductory sessions to the library's rare book and manuscript collections. Sessions, conducted in the Hurley and Mary Virginia Jones conference room, are tailored to individual course needs.
  • Using the Collections: A quick reference guide to using the various collections in Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
  • Search our online catalog (GIL): Researchers may search the Rare Book and Georgiana Collections using our online catalog.
  • Reference Requests: The staff will take time to answer your reference questions dealing with our collections (as staff time permits).
