Classes

As a service to the University academic community, the Hargrett Library provides introductory sessions to the library's rare book and manuscript collections. Sessions, conducted in the Hurley and Mary Virginia Jones conference room, are tailored to individual course needs. Materials available in Special Collections which pertain to the course are presented, and students are instructed in accessing the collections and in the guidelines for their usage. If you wish your students to use Hargrett materials for their coursework, please set up an introductory session by either contacting the Hargrett Library at (706)542-7123 or submitting the following class request form. Please allow 10 working days notice as there may be scheduling conflicts.

Students will be unable to bring personal possessions into the Conference Room. Lockers are provided in the lobby area for their belongings. There is a refundable 25ยข deposit for the use of the lockers. Paper and pencil will be provided for students in the classroom area.
