  • The James W. Woodruff, Sr. Natural History of the Chattahoochee River Valley Collection forms the core collection of the James W. Woodruff, Sr. Center for the Natural History of Georgia.

  • The J.W. and Ethel I. Woodruff Foundation, through an endowed collection development fund, supports the James W. Woodruff, Sr. Natural History of the Chattahoochee River Valley Collection.

  • The Collection focuses on Mr. Woodruff and his tireless work in developing the waters of the Chattahoochee River Valley for the betterment of the Columbus-Muskogee County area and the people of Georgia.

  • The James W. Woodruff, Sr. Natural History of the Chattahoochee River Valley Collection chronicles the history and development of the Chattahoochee River and the Chattahoocheee River Valley.

  • The Collection supports classroom instruction and scholarly research in a variety of disciplines including geography, geology, ecology, and history.
