Georgia Clipping Files

General Information about the Collection

The Georgiana Collection clipping files contain mostly news clippings from 20th century Georgia newspapers, arranged into four broad categories of information about Georgia and Georgians: Biographies; The University of Georgia; Georgia Counties and Major Cities; and General Topics.

User Note: The Georgiana Collection stopped clipping newspaper articles for the files in 1997. Researchers who might benefit from using Georgia newspaper articles created since that time are now directed to GALILEO's Lexis-Nexis' Academic Universe database of full-text articles, or to specific newspapers' website archives.
