University of Georgia Clipping Files Index

A - B C - G H - P R - Z

The University of Georgia Clipping Files cover an assortment of subjects, from campus organizations, issues and events, to prominent University figures, featured visitors, and campus buildings. Whether researching a class essay, a news documentary, or some other interest, in the files one can find information ranging from the history of the University of Georgia Arch to the integration of the University.

The index (above) and files begin with a "General Information" file, then more specific files are arranged alphabetically by topic. (Note: All campus building files are arranged as subdivisions to the BUILDINGS file, so look under that topic to find a particular building by name.)

It is important to point out that the University of Georgia files are a research aid, not an archival collection of University records. The files typically consist of articles photocopied or clipped from newspapers and other periodicals. (For historical documentation and records of University departments, please contact the University of Georgia Archives.)

Below are examples of clippings in the BUILDINGS - ARCH vertical file:

Red & Black, March 15, 1989
