The General Information Clipping Files cover topics, locations, events, and organizations that relate to Georgia state-wide or that resist being categorized by local (city/county) boundaries. Examples of files found in the General Information section include:

The General Information files are arranged in alphabetical order. As in the University of Georgia Files and Georgia City files, the General Information index and some major topics begin with a "General" file. (For example, the Parks - State - General file precedes the Parks - State - Amicalola file.)
