UGA ARCHIVES

LEARNED SOCIETY & NON-UNIVERSITY RESEARCH COLLECTIONS IN UGA ARCHIVES
In addition to preserving the history of the University of Georgia, the Archives house the papers of a number of learned societies with which the University's faculty and staff have been closely associated.

Our first collection to appear on this page is the Papers of the Association of Southeastern Biologists, a collection spanning the origin of the group in 1937 to the present.

In addition we house archives of the Ecological Society of America, The Ecological Institute (TIE), the Georgia Chapter of the Sierra Club and the Georgia Academy of Sciences. Papers related to other learned societies appear in the papers of faculty who have been associated with them. In time we hope to add finding aids to the collections listed above. For now, please feel free to contact us about holdings.
