Finding Aid for the Celia Kelley Alford Papers (circa early 1920s) and Alice Gertrude Alford Papers (circa 1911) SNS (State Normal School)
2.0 Linear Ft: 2 Bankers Boxes
Introduction:

Included with this collection are two items associated with Alice Gertrude Alford. Alice graduated from the State Normal School as part of class of 1911.
Scope and Content:
The Celia Kelley Alford Papers are circa early 1920s and include photographs, memory books and textbooks. The Alice Gertrude Papers include a class photo and an invitation to the 1911 commencement ceremony.
Materials in the collection were refoldered for preservation purposes. Although photographs were removed from photo albums and placed into archival quality sleeves, the memory books were left intact in order to preserve their intrinsic value.
Both the Celia Kelley Alford Papers (UGA 03-038) and the Alice Gertrude Alford Papers (UGA 08-030) were donated by Caroline Beaty. Due to that connection, the two accessions are included under one finding aid.
