About the collection

The University of Georgia Libraries is a selective depository for publications of the Government of Canada. The majority of the collection is housed at the Repository; select science-related Government of Canada publications are shelved on the 4th floor of the Science Library. Selected documents of Canadian government departments and of Parliament are included in this collection.

Government of Canada electronic publications can be accessed on the Government of Canada Publications E-collection site.

Government of Canada publications in our collection published since 2001 can be identified using GIL. Government of Canada publications published since 1992 may be searched and identified on the Government of Canada Publications site. For earlier Government of Canada publications, please ask for assistance at the Map and Government Information Library.

The publications of the provinces and city governments of Canada are not publications of the Government of Canada. Any publications from these levels of government would be in the Libraries' general collection and can be located through GIL.
