Borrowing Items at UGA
Faculty Borrowing Privileges: Most books may be borrowed for a year. The number of items that can be checked out is unlimited. Books are automatically renewed twice unless another patron has placed a hold on them.
Delivery & Pickup: Use the GIL Find catalog to request print books and journals be delivered to another UGA library and get articles and chapters scanned and delivered to your email inbox
Research Assistants: Designate a proxy to check out materials in your name
Borrowing Items From Other Libraries
GIL Express: Borrow from another public university in Georgia, using the online request option.
Interlibrary Loan: Use the online form to request a book or journal article from outside the University System of Georgia.
Adding to the Libraries Collections
Request a Purchase: Recommend books, journals, films, databases, and other materials you would like us to consider purchasing for the collection.
