Obtain a library account

If you are off campus and are unable to physically visit the Libraries, you’ll need to have the Department of Access Services create a library account for you and give you a barcode number. With the barcode number, you’ll be able to check out books, access e-reserves, check the status of the books you have checked out, and make Interlibrary Loan requests for materials from other libraries.

Password for UGA Databases

In order to access University of Georgia licensed databases from off-campus, you can use your UGA MyID or the current GALILEO password for the UGA Libraries. Access to UGA licensed databases is available to currently enrolled students, UGA faculty, and staff. GALILEO Login

Need one-on-one assistance with your project?

As a distance learner, it may be difficult for you to stop by the reference desk or schedule a face-to-face conference with a librarian. However, we provide telephone or chat sessions to accommodate your schedule. Please call us and set up a meeting with a subject area specialist.
