Books of Honor

"Our UGA library is not only a vital resource for its students and the Athens community, but serves the entire state.
It should be cherished and supported by the public it serves so well."
- State Representative Louise McBee

The University of Georgia Libraries invites you to buy a book through our Books of Honor fund and, in doing so, pay tribute to a special person in your life.  With your $100 contribution to the UGA Libraries' Books of Honor program, our librarians will select a book in the subject area you designate.  A bookplate will be affixed to the book honoring your person(s) of choice.

The UGA Libraries Books of Honor program offers you the opportunity to make a two-fold gift.  Through the years, with each reading of the book your gift of knowledge will be presented once again.  And each time the book is opened, the affixed bookplate will offer an acknowledgement of your generosity and your tribute to the honoree.

Books of Honor offer an enduring expression of appreciation for the people who have enriched our lives...

        • Professors
        • Graduates
        • Parents
        • Colleagues

Books of Honor provide a lasting remembrance of the important milestones in our lives...

        • Birthdays
        • Weddings
        • Anniversaries
        • Graduations
        • Promotions
        • Retirements

When you make your gift to the UGA Libraries Books of Honor Fund, a letter of acknowledgment and a copy of the bookplate will be sent to you and the honoree, or his or her family.  In addition, your name will be listed in the Libraries' Donor Report honor roll.
