Collection Development
Responsibility for administration of the University of Georgia's collection development program and for implementation of its goals and policies rests with Nan McMurry <nmcmurry@uga.edu>, Director for Collection Development at the Main Library, and with Lucy Rowland <lrowland@uga.edu>, the Head of Science Collections.
Collection development includes selecting research resources in a wide variety of formats and languages, providing instructional and reference assistance in the use of these materials, evaluating the current collections, planning for future growth, and preserving library resources.
