As of 1969, a comprehensive annual bibliography of
Western- language sources covering both German language and
literature. Materials cited include books, pamphlets, articles,
dissertations, reviews, etc. Author and subject indexes complete
each volume.

Referatenorgan mit bibliographischen Hinweisen. 1960- .
An important international bibliography, appearing
quarterly and surveying scholarly publications in the field of
German literature and language. Roughly the first third of each
number is devoted to language. The rest of each number covers
German literature (including Old Norse, but excluding modern
Scandinavian). Journal articles as well as monographs are cited.
Brief annotations are provided for monographs. The fourth number
of each volume concludes with an name and subject indexes covering
the whole year.

theses. Covers the Middle Ages to ca. 1970. Includes sections on
literary theory and literature, as well as individual authors.
Volume 3 consists of name and subject indexes. Based on
"Bibliographie der deutschen Literatur- wissenschaft" through

Literature: a catalogue of the collection in the Yale University
Library. 1958-1969.
A catalogue of books from the Baroque period of German
literature representing the collection of Curt Faber du Faur
acquired by Yale University Library in 1944 and augmented by works
from its own holdings. Entries are grouped by broad chronological
period and contain detailed bibliogrpahical information along with
brief biographical notes on authors. Indexes of authors,
composers, and illustrators are included. A microfilm collection
of the works cited in the catalogue is located in the Basement
under call numer FILM PT1126.G45.

These volumes give biographical and bibliographical
information for authors and their works from the beginnengs of
German literature to the present. Secondary literature (including
both journal articles and monographs) covers the period 1945 to
1982. Vol. 8 is an index to all titles treated in volumes
1-7.
Bibliographies for specific authors writing in German
may be located by searching the on-line catalog, using the author
as subject. These will be located either in the PT classification
with the author's works, or in the Z8000 section (2nd floor Main)
with other personal bibliographies.
