Who should authority work be sent to?
The Database Maintenance Section is no longer responsible for authority work. If you have any questions about, or want to report an error in, a series, subject, or name heading, please address your concerns to Debbie McAnallen (583-0705) or Jenifer Marquardt (542-5432) in the Cataloging Department, or you may use the "Report An Error" online form and DBM will pass it along to Debbie or Jenifer.
What does the phrase "No Information Available" mean when referring to Status in the OPAC?
"No Information Available" means that the book has not been barcoded in GIL. It does not necessarily mean that UGA does not own the book. Please notify DBM of this problem using the "Report An Error" online form.
What does the phrase "Consult Reference Staff" mean when referring to Shelving Location in the OPAC?
"Consult Reference Staff" means that the location in GIL is listed as "UGA Libs" which is a default location resulting from conversion from GALIN to GIL. In GALIN, the location was known as "Being Processed". Please notify DBM of this problem using the "Report An Error" online form.
