Getting the most out of Google Scholar and “Find it @ UGA”

So, you L-O-V-E Google Scholar? It can be a great resource when you’re just starting your research. One unfortunate drawback of Google Scholar is there are a lot of incorrect citations! Just remember that when you use “Find it @ UGA” in Google Scholar and it doesn’t work, it is normally due to errors on Google’s side. If you do find something wonky, it is easy to determine if we have the article.

  • Just go to libs.uga.edu and click on the “Journals” tab. There you can fill out the citation info and see if we have access.
  • Or, use our “Ask a Librarian” box on the homepage! We’ll be happy to help you find the right article!
  • The MultiSearch on the libs.uga.edu homepage searches the same resources that Google Scholar does, AND it has the “Find it @ UGA” button integrated for easier access to full text!
