Five Libraries student workers honored

April 5, 2012 – 4:53 PM

At the beginning of this year, a notice was sent out from the UGA Career Center asking for supervisors to acknowledge their student workers who have worked hard demonstrating support and assistance for their university department. Supervisors sent in written information as to why their student should be nominated for the Student Employee of the Year Award.

We are happy to announce that we have five students who have received this prestigious award. They will be honored at the 6th annual Student Employee of the Year Luncheon April 11th at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Congratulations!

The Students, Departments and Supervisors are:

Dustin Ludvigson – Walter J. Brown Media Archive (Mary Miller)

Keiana Watkins – Interlibrary Loan (Michael Law)

Katie McCreery – Digital Library of Georgia (Don Summerlin)

Carissa Pfeiffer – Cataloging (Eric Rose)

Kerry Keene – Cataloging (Emily Giles)

Thanks to all our student workers and to their supervisors for taking the time to acknowledge students who have demonstrated support to the Libraries mission.
