The annual Women’s History Month Exhibit at the Lucy Hargrett Draper Center and Archives for the Study of the Rights of Women in History & Law takes place this month. We invite you to visit the exhibit galleries on the 2nd floor of the Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library, in the new Richard B. Russell building, home of the Special Collections Libraries.
Throughout March we are exhibiting materials from Ms. Draper’s collection, gifted to the Library, documenting the 1st U.S. & U.K. Women’s Movements, 1840-1920. These rare treasures include materials & items from Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth & a pantheon of early leaders. On-line research of the collections in the Lucy Hargrett Draper Center & Archives for the Study of the Rights of Women in History & Law, Circa 1550-2050 will be opened to researchers on July 1st, 2012.
