Food drive extended through 12/21!
December 10, 2007 – 12:24 PMThe CML has been continuing to collect canned and non-perishable food for the holiday season with the help of Dee Palmer in the College of Education. She is going to deliver the food to the Northeast Georgia Food Bank herself!
This is GREAT news for those of you on South Campus who would like to donate some MUCH needed food to a food bank but missed the Georgia Center drive or don’t have time to get someplace yourself. There are decorated boxes in front of the CML in room 207 Aderhold, along with boxes in front of the elevators on the 1st and 2nd floors of Aderhold.
Please donate what you can! Food banks nationwide are strapped for supplies this year, and near-paupers though many of us may be, I know all of us can afford to pitch in a few cans of green beans or boxes of mac and cheese. Kroger makes a very cheap and serviceable substitute for the pricier Kraft cheese and macaroni, by the way! Kroger also has Del Monte canned veggies on sale for 2/$1, FYI.
