Question of the Week: RefWorks Group Code

What’s RefWorks?

RefWorks is a web-based tool for managing your bibliography – easy to use and accessible from any computer.  Keep track of all your citations in RefWorks and format papers with ease using Write & Cite in Microsoft Word.  UGA has a campus wide subscription to RefWorks; sign in with your UGA MyID and password (your first login must be on campus).

I am off campus. It asks for a Group Code.  Help?

You can use RefWorks from off campus after you’ve set up an account but you need the Group Code to identify yourself as a UGA user.  Get it:

• Log into the My UGA portal using your UGA MyID.
• Mouse over the tab for UGA Libraries at the top; a menu will appear.
• Pick “Researching and Writing.”
• The RefWorks Group Code appears in the box.
