The Curriculum Materials Library has taken over the atrium at Main! We’ve sent an envoy of our finest and most fun representatives to North Campus, and we hear they’re having a blast in those front display cases.

There are the whimsical friends of The Wind in the Willows, and the romping beasties of Where the Wild Things Are. . .

We have plenty of food for thought. . .

And games to challenge and amuse. . .

Of course we also have tons of great books, but beware! You never know what will pop out at you!

Truth be told, CML has an entire galaxy of fantastic things you might never suspect, all for your edification and delight.

Our troupe of visitors will be saying goodbye to the Main Library at the end of November, upon which time they will return home. Make no mistake, however, they can also go home with YOU! So please come on by grand ol’ Aderhold Hall and check out our fine family!

And speaking of our fine family, we all thank our wonderful liasons for putting this visit together! Julie Dyles, Esther Giezendanner, Kelly Holt, Diane Trap, and Susan Vandale, thank you all so very much for efforts in the endeavor!! You are perfect hostesses.

What is the repository?

The repository is an off-campus storage facility where some library materials that are used less frequently are stored. The UGA Libraries own so many books, journals, and other items (more than 4 million) that we can’t fit them all into campus libraries!

How do I request delivery of something from the repository?

You can ask at the desk at any campus library, or do it online. In GIL, find the item you need and look at the full record display. There is a link to the Off-Site Material Request Form at the very bottom of the page.

Materials are retrieved Monday-Friday. Patrons are notified when materials are available to pick up from the library location they have chosen. Turn-around time is generally one day, excluding weekends.
