Streaming Audio & Visual Resources
Our Special Collections offer a variety of audio and video materials available free to the public online, such as oral histories, documentaries, newscasts, home movies, and even popular entertainment programs. Also, through our subscriptions in GALILEO we are able to offer some music resources to the UGA community.

Images and Image Collections
Through the work of the Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library and the statewide Digital Library of Georgia, the UGA Libraries provides online access to thousands of images related to state and regional history, natural history, and other topics. The Vanishing Georgia collection alone offers 18,000 photographs from across the state dated 1850s to the 1980s.

Digital Maps
The UGA Libraries is home to one of the largest map collections in the country, with a particular emphasis on the State of Georgia. Online access to thousands of the Libraries’ maps and aerial photographs is available through the Digital Library of Georgia. Specific collections include selections from the Hargrett Rare Book & Manuscript Library’s Rare Map Collection, selections from the UGA Map Library’s extensive collection of historical aerial photographs of Georgia, and Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps for Georgia Towns and Cities.
