Town & Gown Players
A volunteer company producing live theater in Athens since 1953. Community members from theater professionals to skilled amateurs present two series of productions on the Mainstage and Second Stage.

Athens Creative Theatre

Black Theatrical Ensemble of UGA
The Black Theatrical Ensemble creates an opportunity for students interested in drama to showcase their talents while exposing members and audiences to the works of African American playwrights. Endeavors to shed perspective on the black experience and to preserve the legacy of Afro-centric theater through the production of plays, monologues, poems and other literary works written by black authors and playwrights.

The Classic Center
The Classic Center's 2,050-seat theatre hosts touring Broadway productions and musicals and other theatre events.

The Morton Theatre
One of the oldest surviving African-American vaudeville theatres in the United States, the restored Morton Theatre serves as a community-based performing arts venue catering to local and touring groups hosting musical concerts, dramas, dance concerts, lectures, pageants, and more.
