Bishop Park
The 33 acre park features athletic fields, basketball courts, playgrounds, a swimming pool, and a tennis complex, as well as a paved walking path.
East Athens Community Center
Offers karate, swimming, soccer, tennis, basketball, and other programs.
East Athens Community Park
Facilities include two soccer / football platforms, one practice baseball / softball field, and paved paths.
Holland Youth Sports Complex
The 62 acre facility features six baseball fields and four soccer fields.
Memorial Park
Spans 72 acres in the historic Five Points area and offers a swimming pool, a three-acre lake, a playground, and the Birchmore Trail.
North Oconee River Greenway
A 3.5 mile long paved bicycling and walking path open sunrise to sunset.
Oconee Forest Park
A 60-acre natural area on the UGA campus with over 1.5 miles of hiking trails through the 100-year-old oak-hickory forest. Also provides a 1.2 mile mountain bike trail and Lake Herrick beach with canoe rental available.
Rocksprings Community Center and Park
This 6 acre park features a recreation building, playground, outdoor pool, and basketball courts.
Sandy Creek Nature Center
225 acres of woodlands, fields, and wetlands serve as a wildlife sanctuary and environmental education facility. Provides more than 5 miles of hiking trails throughout.
Sandy Creek Park
The largest of the county's parks covering 782 acres surrounding Lake Chapman. It offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities including swimming, hiking, camping, and horse trails. Other facilities include playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, and a disc golf course.
Satterfield Park
Features five athletic fields, three tennis courts, and a playground.
Southeast Clarke Park
Offers softball and soccer fields, tennis courts, a walking/jogging path and nature trails. This 124-acre park is also home to the World of Wonder playground and the Skate Park of Athens.
World of Wonder Playground
The largest volunteer-built playground in Georgia. The 1,700-square-foot apparatus is filled with slides, swings, bridges and mazes.
Athens YMCA
Facilities include gyms, a swimming pool, and handball and racquetball courts. Also offers football, soccer, martial arts and fitness programs.
Athens YWCO
Recreation options include soccer, swimming, fitness programs, triathlon training, pilates, yoga, Tai Chi and more.
Athens Country Club
Members have access to a 27-hole golf course, tennis courts, a swimming pool and fitness facilities.
