Athens Regional Library System
The mission of the Athens-Clarke County Libraries is to provide information and resources which address the needs of the community, foster enjoyment and a love of reading, and provide a repository of the history and culture of Athens-Clarke County.

University of Georgia Libraries

The UGA Libraries provide collections and services in support of the instruction, research, and service missions of the University of Georgia.
In addition to the Main and Science Libraries, the UGA Libraries feature several special collections and facilities:

University of Georgia Law Library
The Alexander Campbell King Library of the School of Law supports the research needs of UGA law faculty and students, and also serves as a resource for the State of Georgia and the region.

Georgia Museum of Art Library
A reference library featuring over 8,500 volumes of scholarly works, exhibition catalogues, historical books, and art appreciation books. Open to the public.

Owens Library
The Owens Library at the University of Georgia's College of Environment and Design holds materials on landscape architecture, environmental planning and design, historic preservation, and environmental ethics.

Athens Technical College Library
The library supports the mission of the Athens Technical College and welcomes community users as well as students, faculty, and staff.

ACC Leisure Services Resource Libraries
Information about resource libraries and rooms at East Athens Community Center, Lyndon House Arts Center, Sandy Creek Nature Center & Lay Park.

ACC Law Library
Provides online and print resources for legal research. The library is housed in the Athens-Clarke County Courthouse and is open to the public.

Ecosystems Research Division Library
Supports the information needs of the Environmental Protection Agency staff and is also open to the public.

As one of America’s most highly regarded journals of arts and letters, each quarterly issue of The Georgia Review offers a diverse collection of essays, short fiction, poetry, reviews, and art.

University of Georgia Press
The mission of the UGA Press is to support and enhance the University’s place as a major research institution by publishing outstanding works of scholarship and literature by scholars and writers throughout the world. The UGA Press is the oldest and largest book publisher in the state and has a long history of publishing significant scholarship, creative and literary works, and books about the state and the region for general readers.

Deeds Publishing
An independent publishing house based in Athens that works with first time and established authors to publish many genres such as military, novels, photography, leadership, and children's books.
