2012 ASSET Awards: “ASSET APOCALYPSE”
Departmental Film Guidelines
We invite you to create a film within the ASSET APOCALYPSE theme. Since there are so many ways destruction can happen (you may want to Google Irwin Allen), you can run the gamut from A (asteroid collision) to Z (zombies). We know that you will put the special in special effects.
The films will be screened at the ASSET Awards ceremony and made available to watch online via the ASSET Awards website. A prize will be given for the film selected by audience voting at the ASSET Awards ceremony.
Participation is open to groups or library departments. There is no minimum or maximum number of participants. Films will have a time limit of up to five minutes and will be screened and judged as part of the annual ASSET Awards ceremony.
Participants are encouraged to use their own equipment and film their
own video, but assistance is also available. See the Filming Advice document on the website. In the event that equipment or help needed,
the department or group should have ONE contact person; this person will be arranging the filming schedule and for all communication between that department and ASSET Awards Committee.
Final, edited films must be submitted by Monday, May 21, 2012.
Too Scared For Your Life To Film?
Departments short on time or understaffed may consider simple
animation videos using the popular website Xtranormal (http://www.xtranormal.com).
Simply write a script, pick the scene and characters, and the software does the rest! Please save the downloadable file and send to the contact below.
