Enter the 2012 ASSET Awards Artpocalypse Now Art Contest. Options for submission are endless – drawings, paintings, sculpture, jewelry, posters, mosaics // abstract, cubism, expressionism, impressionism, pointillism, pop art, postimpressionism, primitivism, realism, surrealism, fiber art, crafts – the list goes on and on. But the Mayan calendar does not!
A few rules: No overpowering odors allowed; artwork should be solid at room temperature; and 3D artwork must stand on its own or you must provide a stand. We will be utilizing the display cases in the lobby for the duration of ASSET week and slightly beyond (tentatively until June 1st). If you would like your artwork to remain on display, then it must fit within the dimensions of the 117 x 24 x 12 inch space allotment with room to spare. Cases will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with preference given to apocalyptic-themed artwork. If you have something larger that will not fit in the cases, Eric can arrange for display only at the reception and will coordinate a time with you shortly thereafter to pick up the piece. The exhibit committee will not be held responsible for damaged or missing pieces, even though every precaution will be taken in order to properly store, transport, and display your art.
