Delivery of instruction modules, systems, or services and internal on-the-job training may also be considered.
Nominee: Diana Hartle
Department: Science Reference
Testimonial: Diana wears many hats, but her instruction techniques stand out and she is in demand from the Vet School to Ecology and Forestry, often running from one to the other to teach classes.
Her quiet demeanor, knowledge of resources, and ability to convey knowledge to a broad spectrum of users from First Years to Graduate/Professional students make her an excellent instructor. Diana has extended her knowledge in the applied sciences, to help her be a more effective teacher in a vast array of classes. She is creative and thorough in her teaching and always makes herself available for follow up sessions with individuals or groups. She is also resourceful, teaching almost all her classes in the departmental classrooms rather than Science Library, including adapting to whatever equipment is available to her.
Diana has also works closely with new librarians and staff, assisting them in developing skills in their own instruction methods. Her positive attitude and sound advice is appreciated by all she works with.
Diana has made a presence for herself on South Campus, fulfilling a niche in teaching on demand!
