BAND PARAPHERNALIA CONTEST AND EXHIBIT:
Have you ever wished YOU could be the designer of band paraphernalia? Now is your chance! Capture the musical vibe of your department, library, or an imaginary band of your dreams in whatever medium you fancy. We're looking for band T-shirts, concert posters, album covers, CD inserts, hats, buttons, or other creative fan products! For inspiration, check out the following merchandise sites:

3-D entries are encouraged as long as they will fit into the display cases (117 X 34 x 12 in. and 20 x 54 x 4 in.) and won't leave nasty scars on the cases or other entries.
In order to have your artwork included, please observe the following deadlines-
Sign-up deadline: Friday, July 9, 2010 at 5:00pm. Email Esther (egiez@uga.edu) with your intent to enter, what you'll be making, and approximate dimensions.
Art due: Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 5:00pm (include a post-it with the title of your piece)
Opening reception: Friday, July 16, 2010 3:00-4:00pm (Main Library Lobby). Refreshments and ballots will be provided!
Voting will be open July 16-July 21 and the art exhibition will be on display Friday, July 16-Friday, July 30, 2010. Winners will be announced and given their prize at the ASSET Awards ceremony Thursday, July 22, 2010.
