ASSET AWARDS VOTING PROCEDURES

PHILOSOPHY: The AAC does not discuss the nominations as a group. Each member is asked to read and evaluate the nominees and cast votes individually.

RECEIPT OF NOMINATIONS: The nominations are received and placed in folders located in a central / secure place (see Amy Petit). All nominations for each category will be kept in a single folder. Within the folder, each nomination form will be labeled with a number as an identifier.

Example: All nominations for Best Committee/Group Collaboration will be in a folder labeled with that award category's name. Within the folder, each nomination will be numbered. The "Let's Trash GIL Task Force" would be labeled #1, the "Committee for Using Fines More Creatively" would be #2, the "Stop the Construction on North Campus Task Force" might be labeled #3, and "The Less You Communicate the Better Task Force" labeled as #4.

VOTING:

Example: Best Committee/Group Collaboration 12 points were divided among the "Stop the Construction on North Campus Task Force" (7 points), "The Less You Communicate the Better Task Force"(3 points), and the "Let's Trash GIL Task Force" (2 points)

ANONYMITY IN VOTING: The tally sheet is routed to the Committee Member (s) charged with tallying votes and should contain no names (neither yours nor the nominees').

RUNOFFS: There will be a runoff in each category where there are less than 5 points separating the top two nominees.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS NOMINATED FOR AWARDS: Any member of the AAC nominated in a category does not vote in that category.
