GIL Express

Search the GIL-Find catalog to see if an item is owned by another University System of Georgia Library and to request it through the GIL Express Service.

The GIL Express service allows all eligible students, faculty and staff of the University of Georgia to search a single online catalog that includes the holdings of all 29 libraries in the University System of Georgia (USG) and request delivery of their eligible circulating books to the UGA library of your choice.

GIL Express items may be checked out for 28 days and may be returned to any USG library. GIL Express materials are automatically renewed twice.

Select your Pickup Institution and Pickup Location from the choices available in the dropdown menu on the request form. For your convenience, GIL Express items may be picked up or returned at any USG library.

There are no daily overdue fines for GIL Express items. Possible fines include recall fines, damage charges, replacement and processing costs for lost materials, and service fees charged by some libraries for billing costs. All financial obligations must be resolved with the library that owns the material.

UGA libraries charge higher daily fines for recalled items, and these fines apply to GIL Express loans. Your original due date may be shortened on any item that has been recalled.
